SUBMARINE B1

Source: sensations.org

Launched in 1921, it was the first type B submarine of the Spanish Navy. Operated off the coasts of Morocco in 1922 during the War of Africa, it was already in dry dock when the Spanish civil war began, in which it only carried out operations of little interest. In 1949 it was used as a target ship in military maneuvers and sunk by a flotilla of destroyers. Located a few miles from Alcudia, the wreck, about 50 m deep, is in very good condition.
