HERMINE

In the midst of the "Six Years War" a French war squadron made up of the ship "Courageoux" and the frigates "Malicieuse" and "Hermine" returned from the Antilles after bringing soldiers and supplies. At the height of Finisterre they met the English warship "HMS Bellona" and the frigate "HMS Brilliant". After a tough fight, the "Courageoux" is captured and the frigates flee to the Ría de Vigo, where the "Hermine" will be shipwrecked. Her armament consisted of 26 12-pound guns and 6 4-pound guns. Currently, and with 21 cannons, it represents the largest concentration of cannons in Galicia.
